Ongoing Conservation Efforts for Old Forests in Vermont

Old forests capture a special place in our imagination, and they provide important ecological functions.

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center will hold an Ongoing Conservation Efforts for Old Forests in Vermont program on June 18^th at 7 p.m.

Bob Zaino, Natural Community Ecologist with Vermont Fish and Wildlife will discuss ongoing efforts to find, map, and conserve old forests in Vermont.

He will provide a virtual tour of some of Vermont’s most fascinating old forests, and discuss efforts to enhance old forest representation as part of broader conservation vision for Vermont.
