Preparing for Emerald Ash Borer @ Stanton Hall

Hilltown Land Trust will hold a free Preparing for Emerald Ash Borer program at Stanton Hall on Russell Road in Huntington on March 13th from 6:30 to 8 pm

The invasive forest pest, the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), is continuing to spread across Massachusetts threatening the 4 million ash trees in our woodlands.

Forest Pest Outreach Coordinator Javier Marin from the Department of Agricultural Resources will discuss the projected spread of EABs, and how to detect trees and manage forests infested with EABs.

Arborist Calvin Layton from Eversource will talk about the challenges of handling and felling ash trees infected with EABs.

This program has been approved for 1.5 CFE credits in category 1

Please RSVP requested so we know how many to expect.
